Rural Missional Leadership Conference
By CBGC Staff
Participants from Minnesota, Kansas, and Colorado met in Flagler, Colorado to sharpen their rural leadership skills at the recent Rural Missional Leadership Conference.
Topics covered included cowboy church planting strategies, missional mindsets, partnerships, culture and bivocational issues. Presentations were given by Jim Ballard, Kenny Moore, Jim Misloski, Steve Hoekstra, Ed Stepp, Frank Cornelius, and Henry Luckel.
Four speakers (Bob Strauch and George Garner of Flagler, Colorado, Russell Parker of Eads, Colorado, and Za Johnson of Byers, Colorado) shared inspirational messages throughout the conference themed “God at work in my assignment”.
“The conference was a huge success,” Jim Ballard said. “Each presentation voiced encouragement along with new ideas and strategies which made for a very productive time! I feel more similar conferences would be extremely beneficial all over the West!”
The Rural Missional Leadership Conference was held March 5-7 at the Wheatland Conference Center in Flagler, Colorado. The center is owned and operated under the Great Commission Partnership Association.
A complimentary copy of the new North American Mission Board book (Rural Church Planting: A Missional Footprint by George Garner) was given to each participant.
